Nayyir Privacy Policy

Nayyir is a prayer times application. Soultek Labs does not sell personal data.

Location

Nayyir requests device location to calculate prayer times and Qibla direction on the device.

The device may use platform location and geocoding services to display a city or region, including Android geocoding operated by Google. Nayyir stores a last known location rounded to approximately 100 meters locally to make later launches and prayer scheduling faster. Android backup is disabled, so this cache is not included in Android device backups.

If you enable Live weather, Nayyir sends coordinates rounded to approximately one kilometer to weather.nayyir.app, a Soultek Labs endpoint operated on Cloudflare. The endpoint requests current conditions from Apple Weather. Live weather is optional. Classic does not make weather requests.

Notifications and audio

Nayyir schedules enabled prayer notifications locally on your device. Notification content is not sent by a Soultek Labs server.

Adhan audio files are bundled with the app and play locally. Nayyir does not record, transmit, or store audio.

Accounts and payments

Nayyir does not require an account. It does not collect account credentials or payment details.

Crash diagnostics

Nayyir uses Firebase Crashlytics for required crash and stability diagnostics. Reports may include a pseudonymous installation identifier, app version, device model, operating system version, crash timestamps, stack traces, handled error categories, current screen names, and basic runtime state needed to diagnose failures.

Crash diagnostics do not include your name, email address, exact location, prayer history, Qibla alignment, adhan playback, or an advertising profile.

Optional analytics

Firebase Analytics is disabled by default. If you enable optional usage sharing in Settings, it may collect a pseudonymous app-instance identifier, app and device details, operating system version, coarse country or region derived from network information, screen opens, and non-sensitive settings changes.

Optional analytics does not include exact location, location history, prayer-time history, prayer completion behavior, Qibla alignment, adhan playback, notification firing behavior, names, emails, advertising identifiers, or cross-app tracking identifiers. You can disable future optional analytics collection in Settings.

Local data and retention

App settings and the reduced-precision location cache are stored locally on the device. Removing Nayyir deletes its active local app data; device backup and restore behavior remains subject to your platform settings. Crash and optional analytics data are retained according to Firebase controls and are not linked to a Nayyir account because Nayyir has no account system.

A weather response for a rounded location grid is considered fresh for about 15 minutes. A normalized stale response may remain available for up to two hours so brief Apple Weather interruptions do not immediately remove the backdrop. Apple attribution metadata may be retained for up to seven days. Soultek Labs does not use these caches to build location histories or user profiles.

Third-party services

Nayyir uses Firebase Crashlytics for required diagnostics and Firebase Analytics only when optional usage sharing is enabled. Device platform location and geocoding services support prayer times, Qibla direction, and city display.

When Live weather is enabled, Cloudflare processes the request to Soultek Labs' weather endpoint, and that endpoint requests Apple Weather using approximate rounded coordinates. Apple also hosts the required weather attribution images and legal page; loading or opening those resources may provide Apple ordinary network information such as your IP address, but the image URL contains no location coordinate. Nayyir does not send either service your name, email address, Nayyir account identifier, prayer history, Qibla alignment, or adhan playback history.

Data we do not sell

Soultek Labs does not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers or data brokers.

Children's privacy

Nayyir does not create accounts or knowingly collect names, contact details, or behavioral profiles from children. Required stability diagnostics are not used to profile children.

Beta distribution

During private testing, Nayyir may be distributed through Firebase App Distribution, TestFlight, or store testing tracks. Those services may process tester email addresses, device eligibility, install status, crash status, and app version information under their own platform policies.

Nayyir does not use beta tester data for advertising, profiling, or prayer behavior tracking.

Changes to this policy

Material changes will be reflected in the app and on this page with an updated effective date.
